...absence of light brings uncertainty and fear - A beautiful line from a book I just finished. THE BLACKOUT by Stephanie Erickson is such an excellent novel, I recommend it for everyone.
This is an end of the world - what if the worst happened scenario but she handles it without the total gloom and doom of recent reads. Always exciting and fast moving, she writes with a quick wit and a deep understanding of human nature. She left me feeling that friendship, pets, and love are even more important in the bad times. Congrats Stephanie, you entertained and left me feeling better about the human condition.
